One of my favorite quotes regarding the creativity inherent within every human being comes from Alex Osborne’s How to Think Up:
Each of us has an Aladdin’s lamp which psychologists call creative imagination. In a genius this lamp burns brightly from birth to death. The rest of us have to rub our lamps.
In a recent interview with Tavis Smiley, Carlos Santana articulates a similar insight:
Everybody is born with genius…Say to yourself, I am a beam of light from the mind of God and I am capable to create blessings and miracles.
Be inspired. Be resourceful. Believe in yourself. Even the most difficult and intractable challenges offer new opportunity.
The guys below — obviously — fall into that category of genius whose lamps burn “brightly from birth to death.”
